NEWS & ANNOUNCEMENTS:
E-Rate discount. Attached is FHSA's plan to assist all member Florida Head Start programs to obtain the E-Rate discount. The Association's plan will be undertaken in three Phases. The first phase is for telecommunication's discount, which is the easiest. However there is a very tight window of application that must be navigated. The FHSA's lead E-Rate consultant will be Joe Burley. Burley has established some excellent connections and resource people for the E-Rate. Because many programs don't have a dedicated IT staff that can work on this important project, the FHSA is seeking to form a partnership among its constituencies and to act on behalf of each agency that buys in to the project. Attached to this email is the FHSA proposal. Additionally, there is an invoice attached to assist programs with expeditiously getting on board and to get moving. Questions may be emailed to Joe Burley at jburley@pinellascountyheadstart.org.
