Structuring & Refining Program Governance for Challenging Economic Times
Examining ways that Board of Directors, Policy Councils and Staff can set and implement policies and procedures that enable programs to manage budgets more effectively. The participants will engage in a process that helps them to clearly understand and effectively implement the Head Start Performance Standards and the 2007 Head Start Act on their roles and responsibilities.
Because, of the current administration's strong emphasis on expectations, transparency and accountability, all programs must effectively plan as well as implement to assure that goal and objectives are reached and achieved on time and within budget. Programs must adhere to policies and especially as it pertains to Parent Involvement, participation and collaboration
with other entities and organizations.
· Friday 7—9 p.m. Welcome Dinner
· Saturday—*8 am—5 pm: Training
· Sunday 8 am– 12 noon– Breakfast & Training
· Each registration includes a take home training manual and a CD of resources and forms
